Kayman was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, started playing hockey at the age of 5.  He started playing as a goalie and played minor hockey in Ontario and Alberta.  In Toronto, grew up playing in the St. Michael’s program until he moved to Calgary Alberta at the age of 16.   Along with his hockey career, he played baseball throughout high school and college and played for the A minor affiliate Medicine Hat Blue Jays.

Coach Kayman have been coaching at DYHA since 2014 started in the ADM program and and 2015, he helped restart the Mites program at DYHA with Sean Whyte.  As a Mites coach, he was responsible for introducing DYHA's young players to the great sport of hockey and giving them a solid foundation for their hockey careers. 

In 2017, he was named U10 Squirt Director and was responsible for overseeing and coaching two U10 Squirt teams at DYHA ending the season with a close championship games but resulting with 2 successful runner up teams.  

His hockey philosophy is focused on developing well-rounded hockey players who want to have fun and are prepared to work hard. "I promote and encourage the development of players and coaches, through skill development, with positive attitudes towards sportsmanship, education and citizenship."

He also has a son who plays for the Jr. Sun Devils who he continues to share the passion and joys of the game.
