The ’03 Pee Wee AA Sun Devils traveled to Dallas over President’s Day Weekend to play in the One Hockey Longhorn Shootout. The team went 6-0 over the weekend and captured the tournament title beating the McKinney North Stars 8-2 in the finals. The tournament victory was fueled by the offense where each of the forwards had a minimum of 4 points during the week. The defense and goaltending limited the opposition to a total of only 8 goals over the 6 game stretch. This marks the first tournament victory of the season, however the team has been a runner-up multiple times this year. Upon going 6-0, the team’s record stands at 34-17-1. This group of young men have stayed together throughout the 2015-2016 campaign and will look to continue its run of success in the upcoming State championship tournament.
